Boychoir (《唱出我天地》) has been criticised for its predictable story and lacking a surprise ending. However, the movie should not be dismissed for not being wanted by certain critics. The themes about an underdog pouring a conscious effort of hard work and perseverance and the generous support of teachers and the choirmaster make it a very uplifting and heartwarming tale.
