【明報專訊】Recently I wrote about the ethnic minority actor Mr QBobo (喬寶寶), who has successfully diversified the local television industry. Most TVB viewers might also recognise Ho Kwok Wing (河國榮), a handsome white actor who speaks fluent Cantonese. Like QBobo, Ho enjoyed a certain degree of visibility, since he took part in over seventy TV dramas and around twenty-seven movies. But unlike QBobo, Ho was in the local entertainment industry for over twenty years. Few people know that his real name is Gregory Rivers, who started his career in the entertainment industry not as an actor, but as a Cantopop singer.
