【明報專訊】THE new uniformed group Hong Kong Army Cadets Association (HKACA) has at its head a galaxy of celebrities. With Tung Chee-hwa, a state leader and Vice Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference National Committee, as its honorary president, the HKACA boasts three honorary patrons, namely Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying, Central Government Liaison Office director Zhang Xiaoming, and commander of the Liberation Army garrison in Hong Kong Tan Benhong. In addition, it has as its honorary advisors Chief Secretary for Administration Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, Central Government Liaison Office deputy director Wang Zhimin, National People's Congress Standing Committee member Rita Fan Hsu Lai-tai, Education Secretary Eddie Ng Hak-kim, Home Affairs Secretary Tsang Tak-sing, and Security Secretary Lai Tung-kwok. The city's first lady Regina Leung Tong Ching-yee serves as commander-in-chief of the cadet force, and two previous police commissioners Dick Lee Ming-kwai and Tang King-shing are among the members of the HKACA consultative committee.
