【明報專訊】VICE CHAIRMAN of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and former Chief Executive (CE) Tung Chee-hwa has set up a think tank called Our Hong Kong Foundation. That has drawn much attention. Some have made critical comments on the list of its advisers. Others take a wait-and-see attitude towards its role. However, Tung enjoys such prestige and is so detached that none harbours any doubt about his motive. Furthermore, he has the full trust of the central government. If the foundation makes use of such advantages and, by doing research and bringing together people from various sectors, persuades the central government to allow Hong Kong to adopt a relatively suitable political system, it will make it easier to solve the SAR's problems of governance.
