【明報專訊】ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXCAVATIONS along the MTR's Sha Tin to Central Link have unearthed, at a construction site near the To Kwa Wan Station, a square-shaped well from the Song and Yuan dynasties, which experts believe calls for a rewriting of Hong Kong's history. However, while a large number of ancient relics have been found over an area of about 150,000 square feet (about the size of two standard football pitches), only the square-shaped well is to be preserved in situ. After the removal of a vast trove of artifacts, the entire ancient site has been quickly destroyed.
