【明報專訊】THE DAY BEFORE YESTERDAY (February 16), some netizens staged in an "anti-locust campaign" a protest march along Canton Road, hurling verbal abuse at mainland tourists and telling them to "go back to the mainland". A number of tourists were humiliated for no reason, and some shops were unable to carry on with their normal business. Yesterday, four principal officials, including the Chief Secretary, unanimously condemned the protest, with Secretary for Security Lai Tung-kwok saying that the police would take up the matter as required by the law.
