【明報專訊】TRAINS are the most important means of public transportation in Hong Kong, while buses and minibuses play a supplementary role. This arrangement is most evident in Tseung Kwan O because of its peripheral location. Yesterday (December 16), the MTR Tseung Kwan O line suspended service for almost five hours after a section of an overhead power cable got dislodged, and Tseung Kwan O residents were practically left stranded. The MTR must take this as a lesson and work out a better contingency plan that may minimise the inconvenience to residents in the district when similar things happen again in future.
