【明報專訊】VILLAGERS at Tai Long Sai Wan and Sha Lo Wan, Lantau Island, have at different times recently closed their villages to outsiders. The public generally takes a dim view of this, believing that the villagers have been unreasonable. However, in the last analysis, the villagers are just fighting for their rights and livelihood. And theirs are definitely not isolated cases. Many other villages in the New Territories, especially those in remote areas, must be facing the same plight as Tai Long Sai Wan and Sha Lo Wan.
