【明報專訊】TWO young children in Hong Kong have died from infections caused by serotype 3 Streptococcus pneumoniae, creating alarm among hundreds of thousands of parents. The government therefore called, ahead of schedule, a meeting of the Scientific Committee on Vaccine Preventable Diseases. The Scientific Committee's recommendation is that a booster dose of vaccine is not strictly necessary.
