Idiom Magic﹕An Agony Column 解答讀者問題的專欄
文章日期:2013年5月27日

【明報專訊】About a hundred years ago when this expression was first used, an agony column was a term for a special column in a newspaper in which people advertised to find missing family members or friends. Those who place such advertisements were in agony(痛苦), which means to be distressed. Today's agony column is still a newspaper column, but it's now one containing letters written by folks who are looking for answers to personal problems. Does the newspaper you read have an agony column?
