【明報專訊】Clare knew Oliver was up to something right from the start. She could hear it from the way he played the piano. He played all the correct notes right, but there was no energy. Oliver's music - whether it was singing or piano playing - was usually full of zeal (熱情) and vigour. Moreover, he was playing Beautiful in White by Westlife, a romantic song normally full of passion. But it felt different today. The melody sounded dull and emotionless, while the harmonising chords seemed blatant and choppy (零碎的). In short, Oliver was playing the song with his fingers, not with his heart.
