Every day old Mr Lee took his little boat out, just a few metres from the island. There he took his rod and began fishing. There were few fish so near shore (岸邊), and he never caught any. Nobody else went fishing there! Nobody could understand why Mr Lee fished there. But some people remembered Mr Lee had once had a small restaurant by the sea, quite near where he went fishing. A terrible typhoon had destroyed his restaurant, and it had disappeared into the sea. Perhaps, Mr Lee had gone a little mad after losing his restaurant, people said. In fact Mr Lee was not mad; people did not know Mr Lee's secret.
