【明報專訊】背夫或背妻偷情，英文叫做to deceive或to be unfaithful to one's husband/wife。隨便一點的說法，則是to cheat on或to step out on one's husband/wife，例如﹕（1）She confessed to her husband on her deathbed that she had for a time been unfaithful to him（她臨死時向丈夫承認，曾經有一段時間對他不忠）。（2）He is said to have stepped out on/deceived his wife（據說他曾經背妻偷情）。
