【明報專訊】By the second half of the 19th century, inventors, engineers and telegraphers in the United States and Europe were furiously(拚命地) experimenting with gadgets(小工具) capable of transmitting voice sounds over a distance. While it was the American inventor Alexander Graham Bell who ultimately filed the first patent(專利), debate continues over who deserves credit for developing the earliest working telephone.
