My Gap Year Diary﹕Arequipa: The White City
文章日期:2011年7月5日

【明報專訊】Arequipa (阿雷基帕) is the capital of the Arequipa region in Southern Peru. Being the second most populated city of the country, it lies in the Andes mountain (安地斯山) at some 2,300 metres above sea level. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that many of its colonial buildings were built with sillier, a pearl white porous volcanic rock, giving its nickname of "La Ciudad Blanca" (The White City).
