【明報專訊】Every government department and every member of the general public may propose a street name to the Lands Department, which will then do field observation and, to avoid duplication, check the proposed name against the Survey and Mapping Office's database and Hongkong Post's. The Survey and Mapping Office would consult such government agencies as the Rating and Valuation Department and the Highways Department. It may also seek the public's views through the Homes Affairs Bureau.
