【明報專訊】A famous producer once told me, "I make records, not music." What a thing to say coming from a man who has spent his life in the art. A prodigy (天才) in every sense of the word, he left his hometown for Hollywood at a young age, chasing his dreams as a musician, working with record-breaking artists on the scene. This still doesn't really explain his statement though-how does one make a record (or CD) without making "music"? It turns out that he was talking about his attitude towards making hits.
