【明報專訊】Mother Teresa(德蘭修女） was baptized on August 27, 1910, Ottoman Empire (now in Republic of Macedonia) -died on September 5, 1997, Calcutta (加爾各答), India. She founded the Order of the Missionaries of Charity, a Roman Catholic congregation (天主教的宗教團體) of women dedicated to the poor, particularly to the destitute (貧困的(人)) of India. She was the recipient of numerous honours, including the 1979 Nobel Prize for Peace.
