【明報專訊】Wien is the Austrian name for Vienna. It is a glorious city oozing (洋溢) culture, class and wealth-A truly beautiful place with a distinctive architectural style. However, it was particularly memorable because six days into our trip, we lost two of our friends. Before you jump to morbid conclusions, no, nothing tragic happened, just two people in our group decided that they didn't like backpacking, hostels and the exhaustion of travelling on trains (the three key elements of inter-railing), and perhaps they didn't like the fact that my other more like-minded friend and I wanted to go out every night, nor our constant energetic optimism during the travels. Instead of venturing to the depths of Eastern Europe, they flew back to London.
