Opportunity to Break Deadlock
泛民路線分歧 是解開政制死結的契機
文章日期:2010年1月28日

【明報專訊】THE Civic Party and the League of Social Democrats have taken the road of "five-constituency resignation and popular uprising" and started their struggle outside the system. Other democrats remain in the system to fight for a universal suffrage roadmap. The pan-democratic camp is divided about furthering democratisation. There are now two lines. One is radical, and the other, moderate. In our view, the authorities must have no schadenfreude. They should realise an opportunity has arisen. The SAR government and the central authorities should have the wisdom and boldness to have frank talks with moderate democrats to maximise common ground and break the deadlock over constitutional development.
