【明報專訊】THANKS to the Kam Nai-wai affair, Democratic Party chairman Albert Ho is faced with a credibility crisis, as are the Democrats. The main reason is that they are bound by a confidentiality agreement they have reached with the complainant. Kam and Ho seem to have evaded and mishandled questions. As a result, they have failed to put the public in the picture. That has greatly damaged the moral image of the Democratic Party, which purports to be against "black box operations". The affair took a turn yesterday. Democratic Party lawmaker Cheung Man-kwong made it clear that he would welcome a Legislative Council (Legco) enquiry into the affair because the legislature had credibility. He said he believed it was the best option to have Legco conduct an investigation.
